The Birth of The Universe

by August 19, 2015 0 comments
Just under 14 billion years ago, there was nothing in existence: no planets, no stars, no people, and no forms of being, completely nothing. Then, for reasons that are still unexplained, the entire universe suddenly and unexpectedly burst into being, in what scientists call “Big Bang” and that is the beginning of life.

Let us, theoretically speaking, talk about the origin of the universe. We will explore briefly the time before the Big Bang Explosion. Imagine a bubble or shall we say a balloon. The surface of the balloon is glued with bits of small stones on the surface. Then the balloon is slowly blown. The balloon slowly expands as you slowly blow air into the balloon. This is a simple analogy to demonstrate how our universe expands. The expanding balloon represents the expanding universe while the small stones are the galaxies in the universe. On the other hand, let’s say, before the big bang, there are many balloons and a universe is created either when two balloons combine and produces a new universe, or a balloon divides thus producing a new universe. These are the possible theories on the formation of the universe and what the big bang is all about. If the theories can be proven to be true, then there are many universes besides our universe. This is a fact that we will have to concede.

How would human react if there is another universe besides ours? We will surely try to travel to that universe, of course. Why is it so important to find new universe? Scientists have for decades observed that stars over time will self-destruct. Therefore, there is every reason to suspect that our solar system will eventually be destroyed and so will probably be our universe. Hence, one way to escape from being caught in this final destruction of our universe is obviously travelling to other universe. Well, this is only possible if scientists figure out how to travel between universes presuming the theory of the existence of other universe is proven to be true.  Of course, there are also other issues which need to be resolved if we can reach the other universe. Will there be other intelligent creatures in that universe? Will we be considered as invaders? Will there be wars between universes? And before living and establishing ourselves in that universe, how will our lives go on in that other new universe? Or perhaps, beings from the other universe are already one step ahead of us and coming instead to our universe with the same orientation as us.  What will be our reaction then? Do we stand a chance against them if they are hostile?
